Why founders submit to DevHunt

A new batch launches on the home page each week, and developers vote, signing in with GitHub or Google. Developers browse it for new dev tools, and it sends a weekly Tuesday newsletter.

Pricing as DevHunt states it: Listing a tool is free (permanent page with a nofollow link). Launch $19 once: pick your launch week, newsletter spot, permanent dofollow link. Boosted launch $49: listed above other launches on equal votes, higher in the weekly email, its own post on X. Separate ad slots from $149/week.

When we checked live listings, outbound product links were nofollow. Ahrefs Domain Rating was 52 as of August 2026. It suits SaaS, AI, and startup teams when developer tools want a weekly hunter-style board.

How to submit to DevHunt

  1. Log in at devhunt.org/login with GitHub or Google
  2. Open your account and submit your tool with its name, website, description, logo, and screenshots
  3. Your tool gets a permanent DevHunt page right away (free, nofollow link)
  4. To launch, pick a launch week and pay $19 (or $49 boosted). This also makes the link dofollow
  5. During launch week, get developers to vote. Weekly winners get a newsletter feature, a social mention, and a winner badge

Prefer to DIY? Open the DevHunt submission page (opens in a new tab). Most founders hire us when they want coverage across many directories without repeating this process.

Before you submit to DevHunt

  • It is for dev tools only. Products that aren't for developers are rejected.
  • A free listing gets a page but a nofollow link. You need the $19 launch for a dofollow link and a chosen launch week.
  • Launches run for a whole week, not a day, so plan promotion across the full week.
